Hi, My name is Tristan Posey from Odenville, Alabama.
I was born on October 25, 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama, and have been an artist ever since I could hold a pencil. I come from a long line of acryllic landscape painters, but my niche has always been charcoal and chalk pastel portraits of people.
In 2003 my older sister was visiting from Buffalo, New York and brought me a painting of a surreal landscape featuring a castle atop a steep mountainside and an outer space background with planets and various lighting techniques. I thought that it was absolutely incredible and was even more entranced when she told me that the man who created it used spray paint. I kept asking her how he acheived the different textures and effects, but she said he did so many different things that it was hard to keep up!
I didn't find out how it had been done until September of 2010 when I happened upon Brandon's "1 minute painting" on the internet. The fire had been lit again, and after watching him work over and over, I decided to try it. I was so exited that I was finally able to paint beautiful landscapes just like my great great grandfather, and I haven't slowed down yet!
