I am here in New York City right this moment, and while walking along the "street vendors," I came across a crowd gathered around a single man standing at a table full of spray paint cans and a sheet of paper. Little did I know this mans talent would literally amaze and mesmerize me for the next HOUR, when I should have been enjoying my leisurely stroll along Times Square.
As I walked away from this talented individual, I told myself, "I have GOT to learn how to do this..." I've been doing ceramics since I was nine years old, and have sold more than I can count (or remember). The last thing I heard an observer say as she was watching him complete yet another 'masterpiece,"Now THAT is an artist."
What a coincidence...I am FROM San Diego, California vacationing here in New York. I come across this website posting a convention in San Diego later in July! Needless to say, I know where I'm gonna be!

I just want to say that as an artist myself, and being 45 yrs old, I have seen the graphiti on the walls, and have only been half-impressed with taggers and those who choose spray paints as a medium. Well, you rocked my world today. Your work is AMAZING. Thanks for opening my eyes to what can be done with such an abused medium! You ROCK!
