NICK MARSHALL

'My name is Nick Marshall.  I am 16 years old and live in West Yorkshire Uk.  I first saw spray paint art when I was about 10 years old in Italy and I was amazed at how quickly people could produce true works of art.  I did not have any money and therefore could not buy a painting, partly thinking that I would be able to find others anywhere.  I regretted it ever since, until summer 2004 when I was in Mallorca, Spain. In the local town, a guy would set up every night and get huge crowds watching him as he was painting.  Every day I would go into the town and watch the guy for about an hour.  I was absolutely captivated.  I learned (through watching him) many techniques that I would later use to create some of my own paintings.  I made the decision early on that this was something I HAD to learn so as soon as I got back from the holiday I set out finding out how to do so.  I happened to chance upon spacepaintings.com one day and found Brandon and everybody else a great help to me.  With his help I was creating some simple works and progressing quickly to more complex and in-depth paintings.  I have not looked back since!'
