Howdy, folks! I've been frequenting this site for over a month now so I figured I should probably formally introduce myself. My name is Lisa, I'm 26, and I live in a small town in Central Illinois. I discovered spray paint art in Tampa, Florida at the Channelside Plaza. I was totally taken back at the talent and the mysticism that surrounded the artist... the whole performance (yes, just a guy on his hands and knees painting a piece of paper) was so incredibly mesmerizing, mysterious, and believe it or not, Sexy! I literally was hooked for at least two hours and the only reason I left that soon was because I had an early morning flight to catch. As soon as I got back to Illinois, though, I was online researching and watching YouTube videos and making a shopping list for all the goodies I would need to try it out.
I've always been somewhat artistic when it comes to making things and being creative, but I've never been good with a pencil or a paint brush. So I thought perhaps this would be a better avenue for me to try. I put my first spray down on May 2nd, 2009. I've done 11 paintings to date, some not so good, some pretty cool, and have already had at least 6 requests from friends for paintings. I have decided to designate Mondays to spray painting since that's my slowest day of the week. So... today is Monday, so I better get painting!
