I had a shot at my first spray art but i didn't have any poster board on hand so i used normal cartrige paper, straight away the paint soaked in (bad), i did the planets but they didnt come out right, i did the stars but they got soaked up, i did highlights but they got soaked up, i did a pyramid but when i made it 3D the black got soaked up in the gold. Basically it was a disaster, i know i need poster board, but any other tips?

Yeah, use the shinny side of the poaster board. :) There have been some folks on here experimenting with the matte side, 99GT particularly, but for learning you definately want to stick to the glossy side. And use far less paint than you THINK you will initially need. You'll probably end up with just the right amount.

If you cant get poster board you can use printer paper that they make for printing high quality pictures off your computer. As far as bleeding with the black and gold goes. 99% of teh time gold and silver are metallica based paints, black is often enemal, its like oil and water, they dont mix and sense metallic is less dense than the enamal the black falls below the gold if teh gold is too thick. ---------- Http://www.stellarpaintings.com
