Hello everyone!! I hope your holiday was terrific.
I have a question about stencils. I tried to do a stencil again (painting the background black, letting it dry then putting the stencil on top, then painting your painting). For the most part, the black paint was drier, but still a little wet. My problem was I used a stencil made of heavy card stock. I was wondering what everyone uses to make stencils as it was very hard to pull off, ripped, stuck to the painting and where I sprayed clear to get it wet, the clear pooled on the stencil and poured onto my painting when I pulled the last of the stencil off.
Thanks once again!
Lisa :)

Easy fix, my dear. Let the black TOTALLY dry. Then you have no more problems.

As a general art rule, you want to go from lights to darks. (Put the white down first, cover it, then do the black)
But I make my stencils out of clear acetate .003 paper.
And I hold them on the canvas with 3M spray adhesive.
