My 6 year old plans to land on Mars someday. I've been planning to paint a space mural on his bedroom wall to keep his dream alive. I've painted a bright dark blue semi gloss base on the wall (8 x 12'). Now I've found this cool painting technique and want to use it on the wall. I will practice on poster board first but was wondering a few things. 1. This will be done vertically instead of horizonally so I guess I'll have to let the planet's base dry before taping circles to them to block them out. Any other ideas to solve the verticle issue. 2. I think I will need to paint in sections so that I maintain wet surfaces. Right? Will this stuff run? 3. I purchased a variety of brands of paint. Is it okay to mix brands or will they not blend. They are all gloss. 4. Several colors are floresent (green, yellow, and orange) because he wants it to glow in the dark. Will that work with the other paints or turn out, too goofy?

hopefully i can help a little, if you havent already done your project. 1.Brandon answered
2.If you practice enough, you will know if you need to split up the space, or if you can paint fast enough to do it. You can also use clear paint to re-wet the paint that is starting to dry.
3. I have been able to mix some brands, but not all brands will mix.
4. I have also tried to do the floresent colors, but the blackdidnt seem do cover them up very well. hopefully you have better luck with it.
Hope this helps..... Goattee34 ----------
