I just wanted to share the paintbooth I made for my garage. I have gas appliances and one wouldn't think alot of spray paint fumes are good for pilot lights or the structural integrity of your garage. What I did was build a completely enclosed clear bisquayne plastic room around one of my garage windows. Then I mounted a "Squirrel cage" type fan in the window. When I paint I turn on the fan and it sucks all the fumes out and speeds drying time considerably.I don't have to wear a respirator and I have no overspray on other items in my garage. I would ba happy to post pics but not sure how to on this site. I will send to your email if you'd like. good luck and keep sprayin'
That sure sounds good . And, actually, quite simple too, which is good.
For pictures, my suggestion would just be to find somewhere to upload them (PhotoBucket, PicasaWeb etc.), and Copy/Paste them into your post. Not sure if it works, but I have no better ideas .
ShaScho... i would love to see pictures of what you did because currently paint in my garage as well ... i am building a mobile table with a filter exaust fan from "Air Flow" however i would like to set my garage up so i can have a set up that stays in place my email is planetrev@comcast.net Thanks
planetrev has an awesome portable downdraft paint booth. mine is permanently in my garage, but can be removed easily if needed. Believe it or not, the walls, bottom, and back are cardboard attached to the frame with foil duct tape. The frame is 2x2 cheap lumber, the top is plexiglass. I ventilate it with a used jenn air blower from a remodel I did for a customer, a short piece of flexible duct, and a floor vent register. I vent out the window thru a 1 x 8 board with a wall cap that has a built in damper so I don't get wind coming back into the garage. All the ducting is available at Home depot cheap. I light it with a $10 florescent light that plugs in to a regular outlet. While I could have built a more expensive paint booth, my goal was to see how inexpensively I could do it, and how it would last. I could not be happier. Lets me paint in the winter, which is a big challenge in the pacific northwest.
Nothing fancy, just that well lived in look. I use this garage for alot more than just painting, so I just fit the paint booth in with all the other stuff.
Under construction. The goal was CHEAP.
Breaking it in... It was winter, so I used a small space heater to keep the paint warm while I painted in the unheated garage. I played with the height, and ended up stacked on top of an inexpensive folding table to set paint cans on and give me the right elevation to be able to vent out the window. ---------- 99GT (Marty) Visit my web page http://www.myspacepaintings.com/Ninety9GT
The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this MBT Chapa Shoes novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist MBT M.Walk Shoes, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst MBT Walking Shoes, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best MBT Lami Shoes stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft MBT Shoes Sale, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of MBT Sport Shoes crime and hardship and poverty. 19 July CHF
