So this is a very interesting art. With that understood, I would love to do this for my "Drawing and Painting" class(I know, the class name is silly).

Well, I just can't seem to get these planets to come out even remotely close to cosmos's video tutorial on planets... It's like the paint just mixes together. What's up with that? It's really annoying to be frank... So like... Is it the paint? I really don't think it is because I'm using Krylon paint(yes the one with the funky tip)witch is what I found everyone was telling others to buy... I really need an answer to help me because this is due in a few weeks and I really would like to get something gradable down.

Any information/tips would be greatly appreciatied.

I forgot to tell you the problem...
It's when I try using magazine paper, the paint mixes together and not the sharp changes I've seen on videos about this art. I haven't used my finger nails any... I'll tryy that tonight.

I also started with the Kraylon paint and it's pretty thin so it mixes more than a thicker paint like Rustoelum

Also let the paint dry a little before you put down your planet stencil - this helps avoid the dreaded paint rings around the planet edge.
