Not so much for the boxes but personally I like them better as they were before. I think they are a bit to high up especially when you are browsing the boards. One other thing that I have noticed is that the font is too small compared to before. I use 4 browsers, explorer, firefox , chrome and safari and only in explorer the font is not bad. In the other 3 it's really tiny. Before it did not make a difference which browser I used. Just my 2 cents.

Brandon, I too have mixed thoughts on the link buttons. Personally, I do not care for the huge chat box at the top of the general discussion board. It appears that there is seldom a good chat session there, so it always appears to be empty with "hello, hello... anyone here?" Not the best entrance to the discussion forum.

I liked the bigger font, but without the boxes I think things look cleaner and more professional now. I would prefer they were not so far up at the top of the page too. Is there any way you can keep it similar to how it is now, with slightly larger font? That will probably mean two rows of links.

Anyway I think you are on the right track. I say keep tweeking it until you find something that looks good and works well.

The only thing I found confusing was the, "post pictures" link, I know the site, but it took me a while to work out where I could find peoples posted paintings. As a suggestion maybe change the link to, "view and post paintings or pictures" or similar.
The is a little misleading, people may only think this is a link for posting pictures only as appose to viewing other poeples work, and may get over looked??????

I thought the boxes before were easier to visually separate the links and find which page you wanted to go to. And I agree that the big chat box upon entering the discussion board is a bit unsightly...
