Morning everyone... I am mainly known as a pendant artist. A friend of mine told me I should check out spray paint art. I was amazed, just like you all were when you first saw spray paint art. Anyway... I thought I would give it a try myself. I wanted to show off my first one. Granted it doesn't have nifty pyramids or an ocean scene. Just curious what you guys think. My friend thinks I have a natural nack for it. I dunno...
I wasn't happy with the splatter effect for the stars...
I did this one on foam board...

not bad :) it's better than my first one lol welcome to spray paint art.
if you don't like the splater effect you could always try a shooting star but holding the can upside down on your paper or board and give the bottom a tap.
if you have any questions feel free to ask, we'll all be happy to answer them.
I think i'd be pretty proud if my first painting came out like that!!! I think this looks pretty good!! Did you do the stars by spraying the white onto your fingers and flicking it?I found that when i did that they all tended to be in a line. I tend to do mine by very gently spraying the white...by pushing both down and back at the same time on the cap.It has to be very lightly pressed though and is best i find when you use a can that is at least half empty! Also dont aim straight at the posterboard...aim above the posterboard and let the mist fall onto the posterboard!!Hope this helps!I like it!! The colours are cool!!! ---------- Spray it...don't say it!
Very nice first one! I really like the nebula/colors! As far as planet shading you want to keep in mind where the light source is coming from & shade the far side of the planets accordingly. Have you tried posterboard yet? Also you might get more exposure posting in the "post pictures" section in the pink links along the top. Great work, welcome to the addiction & look forward to seeing more!
Wow! Definitely a natural if this is your first! Planet shading and stars could use a bit of work, but the sky came out great! Obvious can control. Keep it up! ----------
those colorful dust clouds remind me of why I originally fell in love with this art form. Good job for a beginning, I think posterboard works better than foam but they're very similar.keep it up and and keep posting and as you can see you'll get a lot of great advice and feedback here.
