Hello all :) Today marks the end of my second week of Spray Art. I painted this today without benefit of a tutorial or step by step explanation. I just wanted to compose something out of my own head. (I know that none of the ideas here are original. . .) I mostly wanted to see if I was understanding which color layers to put down and what order to add elements in. I'm generally pleased. .although I'm my own worst critic and I see several things that show how far I still have to go.
Enjoy, and thanks for the comments and suggestions!

i like the colours and overall design- the highlight around the planet stencil really makes the images stand out- i'm gonna try something like that. i have trouble making stars with the spray can- you did a nice job there

drose, you can add starts by spraying on your finger and flicking if the can method isnt working

This looks pretty well laid out. Nice colours too and I like the fact that it looks so clean. Needs a little work on the water overflow and without sounding offensive, I was just wondering what is the big white spot under the planet? Overall good work, remarkable progress.

Hi Bryan :) No offense at all. That big white blotch is simply a mistake. I was adding the white spray line between the water and the shore and my nozzle was turned too far towards the painting rather than hitting primarily on the straight edge I was using. Needless to say. . .I was a bit miffed to have screwed up badly right at the end of a pretty good effort. Thinking quickly (hehe!) I decide to spray an identical blotch in the water as a "reflection". So here is my final justification. You are looking at a wave that is breaking over a partially submerged rock. The spray is lifting high into the air near the shoreline, and you are seeing the white of the spray reflected in the water. Uh. . . Yeah. . . .it was a mistake :) But I decided to post it anyway.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm going to try this concept again soon and see if I can make it nice a clean and extend the waterfall a little deeper next time. ---------- Kevin
