I wish it would stop raining when I want to paint. It seems that I only get to paint 2-4 paintings a week. Here are a couple. Tried my hand at a stencil. I learned that you really should let the paint dry before you put down the stencil.

Any constructive feedback is appreciated.
Thanks, Lisa :)

I really like your planet textures in the second one. The city is different and the black and white make it pop. The only thing I would suggest is that you maybe highlight the area behind your cat stencil a bit. The head seems to be fading into the background. Love the idea!

yeah, i too would say after you have your cat stencil down, and have painted the bg black, do a few quick short sprays of another lighter color just to make it stand out. love the painting though, ahah, its awesome! and the second one is great too! keep it up. :) ----------

That's right Lisa, I learned my lessons too with stencils. Sometimes, when it's a 4 layer stencil I even leave it overnight to dry, I find that you get much cleaner work. Nice idea with the cat, I love it. As to highlighting the cat you can either do it as mentioned above, or you can brighten up the sky a little bit with some light colored space dust, see where the blue is you can see the cat's outline and that will definitely make the stencil stand out. Nice space city detail in the second one too. Awesome, keep up the good work!

Looking good. I have yet to try a stencil. One thing that will add depth to your paintings is to shade your planets. The shadowing will make them look much more 3D. Keep them coming. Marty ---------- 99GT (Marty) Visit my web page http://www.myspacepaintings.com/Ninety9GT
