Lot of things went wrong along the way with this one. So much overspray on the mountains that I had to go back over them with white to brighten them back up. Of course that went horribly wrong as I had already poured (puddled actually, LOL) some branches over the mountains. The poured on branches are WAY TOO DARK and can't be seen well. Brightening up the streams was a train wreck and lost many of the little details. Adding the waterfall and stream on the left side was overkill. AND EVEN THOUGH BRANDON JUST MENTIONED IT TO ME, I did not leave nearly enough black showing thru. Yep, I went wild with the terry cloth textures! All in all it was a good learning experience, but not one of my favorites. I'm gonna post it anyway. Yeah, I'm my own worst critic, but there are things I like about it as well. Thanks for looking, I have lots to learn. Marty ---------- 99GT (Marty) Visit my web page http://www.myspacepaintings.com/Ninety9GT

Thanks for sharing the bad with the good Marty :) I appreciate a community where we can be honest and transparent with each other and genuinely be interested in helping each other improve in our artistic skills. The mountains turned out looking cool. I think going over them with the white added some interesting snow textures to them :) And I really dig your bark textures. Your art has been an inspiration to me as I've started this journey. Keep spraying! Just as a thought. . .I think this painting would be rather lovely without the 2 big foreground trees. Just the mountains and the streams and the terry-cloth forest :) Spray ya later bro! ---------- Kevin

It's a good attempt mate, again I like the folege, and your trees look better, and I see you have tried to add more to divide the mountains and front stuff. Do you see my point when I mean divide the mountains and front more subtlely?? Your water needs to be less white and well seen as you go into the distance, here it just seems to appear from nowhere, with no sence of depth or distance. Have a gander at some of Brandons, where he has a stream stretching the full length. Again keep up the good work.

The mountains actually look good Marty, and I am digging those foreground trees. We all have a bad day sometimes and these kind of paintings can be rather tricky at best. I done one today and I dare not post it! keep up the good work mate! VISIT MY SITE - SPRAYPAINT ART BY BRYANC LINKS PAGE
