This is my latest stencil work. Size is a bit unusual but it works for this painting. Hope you all like it and any comments are welcome. Thanks

The stencil master has struck again! Once again you have created artwork with spraypaint that is so far outside the box it defies description. Amazing work Bryan! So how scary was it adding those whiskers over all that shading and blending? Couple bad strokes and it would be curtains. I know there was a lot of work went into blending and shading but I really think the whiskers make this painting. Did you use a brush? They don't look poured on, and they are very uniform to have been applied with a piece of posterboard. Wanna share? Way to keep the bar set very high in the stencil arena! Marty PS: I remember you saying something about how this type of painting is not destined for live performance applications do to the time required to create it. How much time do you have invested in this piece. Just so people can make comparisons to what we would deem "normal spray paingings." How many stencil layers? how much dry time between layers? how much time shading and blending layers? etc. Thanks for sharing, Marty ---------- 99GT (Marty) Visit my web page http://www.myspacepaintings.com/Ninety9GT

love the fur effect and those eyes, really makes me want to try stenciling but it seems a daunting task cutting all the different shades and knowing what to cut. do you ever use like photoshop or something to select different shadings and whatnot? good painting Bryan!

I love your work!! Great job. I'm curious about how much time you spend on each painting as well.

Thanks guys for all the wonderful comments. As to time to create this it took about 7hrs and goes something like this : About 1 hr to cut the stencil, this is only a one layer one. Sprayed black and moved on to the blending straight away. This is actually one stencil that needs the black paint to be wet so there is no drying time. Then I start the blending with a wooden clay carving tool, which has a sharp edge, the black into the white and vice versa, line by line. The whole process to finish up took me about 6 hours. I went over the whole painting about 5 times to get the effect I wanted. When the paint dries up I wet the tool in paint thinners and I do not use clear. Thinner keeps the blending clean. And yes, the whiskers were done with a paintbrush, I find that the white paint I use does not pour very good, and since these were the last things to come on I did not want to take risks and ruin the whole thing, Can you imagine!! I hope I have answered all the questions, and Starmine I will post the stencil in the stencils section for you and whoever wants to have a go very soon. As to a video for this, I don't know, Apart from not having a video camera and not having a clue on how to edit one, I think the process is too long. But I am planning a video on something else very soon, that is if it's done for me by a friend of mine. VISIT MY SITE - SPRAYPAINT ART BY BRYANC LINKS PAGE
