The links you provided do not work :( Try using photobucket. It is free and provides an html code so that the images appear directly in the forum. Heres the link, its easy to use. Any questions just let me know and I will be glad to help. http://photobucket.com/

Those are pretty good for your first ones. I would just suggest using a little less paint from what I can see. But you will get the hang of it in no time. Oh and when using photobucket there are a 4 options under the pictures. Copy the one that is labeled html. That will show up directly on the forum

Dana - good work for just starting out - keep at it! :)
You'll be surprised how quickly it will come to you and you'll get better and better!

ALSO: I edited your post above, about halfway down the thread, so that your images were coded correctly to appear in your post. Please look at it when you get a chance, click "edit" and you will be able to see what I added to the coding to make them appear. It involves adding the correct "img src" as well as the proper brackets & quotation marks.

I still have a lot to learn... but I'm trying.

for first tries those are good. The compositions are good and the colors too.
There is several ways to do the shapes on a planet: wrinkled paper smoothed over the paint gives you the fractal Jupiter effect, smooth paper ran over paint gives you more blotchy effect and so on. Plus, the planets need to have a dark and lighter side too.
Keep practicing and practicing. Do not throw away these beginners paintings, they will show you how much improvement you have achieved later on.
